Meet the Pastor

My name is Pastor Joe Risinger, I grew up nearby in Lakeville, IN.  From the time I was old enough to be in the nursery, I was in a good Bible teaching church.  I put my trust in Jesus Christ, turning from my sin and accepting Him as my Saviour, at an early age.  I was blessed with a Christian home, and a Christian education both in high school and Bible college.  Unfortunately,  for many years I did not understand that my life was hidden in Jesus Christ completely.  When the Lord opened my eyes to His glorious Truth of freedom in Christ, He also gave me a passion to preach the glorious message of the abundant, abiding Christ-Life. 

To put it plainly, the Biblical life God intended for Christians to live is not a performance, but it is a Person. That Person is Jesus Christ, and He changes everything!

I have been the pastor since 2010 at Lighthouse Baptist Church.  My wife, Berta, and I have been married  since 1989.

My passion and my burden is to help others in their walk with the Lord, and to preach the truth of His Word in a world so full of darkness and deceit.
